I am an admitted Valentine Nut. It is my absolutely favorite holiday. I love it in all it's mushy campy kitschy glory. I started decorating our tiny little space for Valentines, and even started making some handmade Valentine's for my family. I don't know what it is about Valentine's Day, but it is the pick-me-up that gets me through Winter. I think maybe someday I'll open an exclusive all-year-round Valentine's Day store so that other nuts like me can get their Valentine buzz any time of the year. Am I crazy or what?

Well, plans in general are a precarious thing for me lately, not knowing in advance whether I'll be functional on any given night. For the last two years we've gone to different Bed & Breakfasts in Utah (between that and anniversaries and just-because celebrations we've tried out almost 10!) and that was way fun. I've always wanted to throw a Valentine's Party for married couples, just haven't gotten around to it and this is not the year (between the tiny living space and unpredictable regurgitation). But my most favorite parts are decorating for Valentines Day and sending people valentines. Especially single depressed people. They need to get a Valentine the very most. Every year I make a special effort to send every lonely person I can think of a Valentine, and you wouldn't believe what a difference it makes.
