Trekked down to Mona today for Lavender Days. It's still going on tomorrow (Saturday) if anyone else in Utah is looking for something fun to do. Other than the 100+ degree weather it was marvelous. I suspect that in a few years (to get the kinks out) it will be quite the event. There was something for everyone. Petting zoo: Renn got all excited about the medieval jousting, and I have to admit, it was pretty impressive.
Here's our niece who enjoyed the face painting and balloon art (free with admission). And they had lavender ice cream! All kinds of fun!

Your hair is adorable! Did anyone ever get knocked off the horse in the jousting?
Hey! I went to Lavendar Days today! Very fun and fragrant.
I bet the smell is incredible!
Looks like fun!...what does lavender icecream taste like?
We saw the signs along I-15 advertising Lavendar Days during our ride home, but didn't didn't detour to Mona to see fields of purple...just blackened range land and forests as far as the eye could see. :(
