I just recommended this book to my sister. But while I'm at it I really ought to recommend every book by Patricia Polacco. I love them because she's not afraid for a children's book to really mean something. And she usually makes me cry, kind of like HCA. I wish I could give her a hug. Apparently she doesn't own a computer and responds to all her fanmail by hand. Maybe I should write her and send her a literary hug. After all, you should never suppress a generous thought.

Good Reads

I LOVE Patricia Polocco- My personal favorites are The Bee Tree and The Keeping Quilt. LOVE her... somehow, it figures that you do as well.
