Happy Valentines Day

Several years ago, 5 to be exact, was our First Valentines day. We had only been dating for a few months and Em was living at school about an hour away with out a car. I had suggested she come home so we could do something. She took several buses, the train if I remember and then some more buses. She made it home but in 3 and a half hours instead of 1. Unfortunately my plans were, should I say non existant, except to get together. We did get together and ended up having my brother and several members of her family sitting around in front of a blank television that had a "parental password" required to turn it on, (her parents were on a date and had recently switched the password to discourage the children from watching too much t.v.). It was a disaster and after that night she quit answering my calls. I recall she even got me a present, and I didn't get her anything. Somehow it all worked out, and I am so glad it did. She is the most amazing woman. She is very talented (as you frequent subscribers know), as well as a wonderful mother, wife, and friend. I am so thankful to have her. She makes our little family complete. Wishing everyone a Happy Valentines Day, and p.s. don't make the same mistake I did...especially if it's your wife's favorite holiday of the year.

Nice to hear you redeem yourself after all these years. She does love valentine's day and now that you mention her as an "amazing women" -- I am able to understand how it is she multi-tasks so beautifully.

It's been nice to hear from you more lately, Renn!

Em IS wonderful, isn't she? As one of her regualar readers, I heartily agree.

And yeah, I hope you got her something AWESOME this time!

Praising one's spouse in public is almost always a good way to earn some bonus points, especially if it involves yet another apology for past goof-ups. Good job, Renn.
