Hope floats, and wishes too

Today was the balloon launch for nienie. I think it was meant to be, because I stumbled into some balloons today and the stars aligned. Despite being just my little family, and being a bit earlier than the official launch (Sir O needed to be put to bed), it was a surprisingly moving little gesture. Watching a balloon disappear into the heavens until it hurts your eyes to try to focus on it.... somehow it gives perspective, and peace. And I realized as I wrote my wishes that peace is the first and foremost wish I send to the Nielsons. (Although my lists were so long that one balloon could only fly without them!) More photos here.

I loved your pictures, there's something captivating about watching a floating balloon.
I don't know the Nielsons and I don't know what's wrong, but I wish them the best, too!

I agree, there is just something about letting a simple ballon go floating into the sky up the heavens, that brings peace. My family always sends my little nephew Isaac ballons on his birthday. Even little Trey loves to join in on the fun. If anyone in are family has a ballon, we always let it go, for Isaac. YOu are such a good example to me. The way you give, love, and serve for everyone. Hope all is well.

Em, the weirdest thing is I see links on all my blogging friends about this. How does every know about them? I have friends from Indiana and out here in the bay area and you all posting about this? It is such a sad thing that happened. I was just wondering how this one thing is linking all my blogging friends. Anyways, I loved your pictures also.
