most mornings

How many times in an hour do I have to say "Don't touch/hit/sit on your brother" before it means something?

Apparently more than 60.

Sir O adores his baby brother. He just doesn't know how to adore softly. I can't seem to get the concept through to him, nor the concept that he cannot breastfeed the baby and that mommy has to do it. (Oh the injustice!)

He always starts softly enough...

But it quickly goes downhill. Intervention is constantly required.

See, we did get dressed today!

Moving in closer....

Attack!

Sir O has successfully usurped the boppy throne. Mommy managed to catch the Captain before he was tossed overboard. Whew.

This poor kid cannot catch a break.

Neither can this poor kid. Haven't slept for 4 hours straight in over a month. Does it show?
Gotta run, Sir O is sitting on his head again...

OHHHH Em. Good post. You'll look back and hopefully laugh. I think this is the classic post I always want to post about. But I don't dare!!! :D Way to go catching Sir O on the Capt.'s head. You must be fast.

In the not so distant future (it will go faster than you think) you will have two little boys interested in the same toys and playing together for hours while you can read a book, drink a cup of tea and troll around the web. And it will feel like heaven.
Right now you're building the foundation for this glorious future: it only gets better!!
Hang in there!!

Oh Sweetie. Oh... I'm sorry. I'm laughing just a little bit, but I'm sorry at the same time. I SO remember those days. When Beanie was about 5 days old, David and I were in the kitchen talking, and Jeffrey walked into the kitchen holding Bean. Around his little neck and armpit. I don't think I've ever moved so quickly in my life. Jeff was almost 2.

Hang in there. You do eventually get more sleep. I promise. It may not be easier, but it seems easier when you have a little more sleep. Love you.

Been there, done that, glad Grant got tired of baby Lily and Lily got tired of baby Harris. Pretty soon Sir O won't think it's all that cool to smother the Captain. It's just keeping them both alive until that blessed moment comes that is the trick!...
