I need a steadicam

and a better microphone.... if I'm going to continue documenting the joy that is going for walk with Sir O.  Mr Renn and the captain needed naps after church, and Sir O doesn't go to sleep at night if he naps, so it was up to me to keep the sleepiness from being contagious for both of us and a walk was my solution.  He was delightful, even if the trip did culminate in an emergency potty break on the Audubon loop, where an unfortunate hosta plant became toilet paper.

I emerged quite a few dandelions richer, and I got to watch Sir O run around and be perpetually enchanted with the world around him..... well that and I got to sneeze my brains out.  It's give and take in this world.

I love the way Sir O toted his camera around under his arm most of the time, and the way he handed me sticks and treasures, and the way he wanted to carry one end of each stick while I held the other, and the way he worried about being in the way of every bicycler and jogger who passed (yet did not hesitate to poop in front of them....oi).

When I declared it was time to head back, Sir O said to me, "Mommy, we can't leave now! The birds are singing to you!"
And they were.
Heaven only knows how I love this boy.

besides the allergies, and maybe the emergency bathroom situation, that just sounds like HEAVEN

I love that shot of the two of you.

I love those moments when you can just soak in their childhood without needing to chase, reprimand or otherwise detract from the loveliness of the moment.

What a great idea. Plus, it gives you some great one on one time with Sir O. It sounds like a fun time.
