In the midst of our familial headcold of death, of which I am the hardest-hit casualty, I am trying to learn how to use my new camera/lens. I'm quite determined to be a responsible camera-wielder. I finished reading Nicole's book, and I'm half-way through my manual (for which I deserve a cookie - who writes those things anyway?) And whenever I can muster enough spare moments strung together I pull out the behemoth and practice, practice practice. And guess who gets to be my model and muse while we're all stuck indoors with sub-par natural window light? My only non-ambulatory child. Good thing he's cute.

Nice work! Yeah, the manuals can be so blah blah boring but you can do it!
