Boogie Baby

And we've got a wiggler! Our baby is having a party in there and I'm not invited. People have seen him move from across a room! "Get me out of here" - he seems really anxious to spread his limbs again now that there is no room for spreading. I don't know whether this kid is going to require any swaddling.... and I hate to break it to him, but it's only going to get squishier.... and there's not room in there for both of us. Something's going to have to go... either the baby, or my intestines and diaphram. Luckily the baby won't be there forever, but it's awfully hard to breath for two people with a squished diaphram! I feel and sound like I'm snoring most of the time.

I did try sleeping in a propped up position last night instead of on my left side. It helped tons with the heartburn, but the baby is still having his boogie nights, no matter what position I sleep in. Luckily I was so completely zonked out by last night that I could sleep through most of it. I think I 'll be asking my doctor if I can return to my 1/2 a Unisom routine so I get more sleep at night. It's dangerous for me to be driving to and from work that tired!

And what did Emily do for fun last night? She looked through the new Pottery Barn catalog and appreciated what a good job they did of making Summer look glamorous. As tricky and subversive as advertising can be, I can sure appreciate it when it's done well. Sure, it makes me want to go buy a bunch of stuff I don't need and can't afford, but what an abundance of happy thoughts just from looking at photos!
