Ready.... set.....

It's time to get everything ready for "the move".
Well, everything that can be made ready. What an odd concept.

Tomorrow is the last vacation day I will ever take from work. I am taking a day off to go through all my worldly possessions, organize them, and decide what stays and what goes. I'm exhausted just thinking about it (and I don't even have that much!) I suppose the sewing machine and most of the books will go, and some less lucky possessions will stay.

So... how am I going to go about deciding? I'm still not sure. I picked up a bunch of banker's boxes today, Renn got the packaging tape, a bunch of labels.... we think we're all set.
Renn keeps oscillating between saying we're going to have plenty of room and we're going to have to leave "a ton of stuff" here. It's driving me nuts! Trying to decide which things to leave behind when I haven't even seen most of my belongings since February is really rather fuzzy and difficult.

So tomorrow will likely be a long day. Especially long for the pregnant lady.

On the bright side, I can breathe a huge sigh of relief when it's all done. That's the last of the "must get finished before this baby can be born" list.

But hey, Belly Buddy, we are no dummies. We know that you will come whenever you darn well please.... and our whole lives are basically on hold as we hold our breath in anticipation.... I guess we'd better get used to you being the center of our universes... right? I think I use "..." a lot when I'm incoherently tired. Must be another side effect from being so very pregnant.

I love moving and I hate moving. I love getting to purge my life of a lot of useless stuff. I hate packing up everything and not knowing where it is or if it will be moved safely. I also hate the situation you guys are in with lots of your stuff in storage someplace (done that). That kind of moving sucks IMO! You have my sympathy. But guess what?! No morning commute! That's a happy thought!

Good luck!

We moved just 5 days before Aveline was born. It made for a crazy time.

5 days! Yikes... I guess that's better than moving 5 days after she was born though.... (says my optimistic side)
