A Birthday Adventure

Well, enough things in the world of technology are not working all at once that this post is going to show up much later than was intended. Lots of people called Mr Renn to wish him a happy birthday and he told them all to check the blog for photos from our adventures in Lancaster County. By the time you read this, they will have all checked and been disappointed.
For the record – I’m taking no responsibility for any of that.
I was really pretty worried that Mr Renn’s birthday would be a considerable letdown. I had nothing up my sleeve. (That would require excess brainpower – don’t have it, ‘nuf said). Luckily Mr Renn took it upon himself to plan his own birthday outing, and our friends downstairs offered to take us out to dinner. Both went well and it turned out to be a better day than I dared to hope for.
Sooo…. Here’s a few photos from our adventures in Amish country today:

My parents took me to Amish country, to see a bunch of people who have no cars, no TV, no phone. Who wants to see a whole community that's been grounded? That's the way they should punish kids after they've seen the Amish.
"Get up to your room. That's it, you are Amish, young man! And don't come down til you've made some noodles and raised a barn."

My brother AND sister and their families live out there in Lancaster county. (Elizabethtown to be exact) Anyway, on our quick trip there for Clayton's medical school interview, we saw sooo many Amish people. The land is beautiful there, though! Hope it was a fun trip! Happy Birthday to Renn!
