It's beginning to look a lot...

I know, what the.....?
Here's the thing. Most of the students who live here go "home" for Christmas.... which means pretty much the entire month of December. So if we all waited until after Thanksgiving to decorate, we'd get to enjoy it for a couple of days, and then have to clean it all up after we got home from a long exhausting "vacation". It just doesn't sound like much fun. So instead everyone decorates right after taking down Halloween decorations. We are actually behind the curve. We noticed trees and lights in windows on Sunday. Wow. So this is not a habit we're going to keep... But if I'm going to go to all the trouble of decorating, I'm going to make sure there's plenty of time to enjoy it!

Ooh! That's so funny. You must have a lot of time off for Christmas. NYDD has class until Dec. 22! I'm quite jealous of you. How fun to have your Christmas stuff out already. I'm still contemplating my design for Christmas cards. . . *sigh*

That's awesome! I would SO have my tree up now, if I could get away with it!

If having a tree up meant it was the Christmas season, then it must've been Christmas at our house for like four straight years.
My mom bought a fake tree like 8 years ago, but a few years later we bought an extra freezer for the basement, thus taking up any extra space in the storage room.
That poor tree stood in the same spot in our family room for years. We just had nowhere else to keep it.
