My favorite tender mercy so far

Last night was our church's service-auction for the Relief Society (women's organization). We sort of had a tea-party, and it was great fun. Drinking peach juice from china teacups and eating finger sandwiches and chatting.... I could tell someone had a blast planning the whole thing.
When I was approached earlier about the service I'd like to donate to the auction, I settled on weeding/pruning/gardening. As an apartment dweller I miss playing in the dirt like crazy. Plus I had donated a similar service for a similar auction 2 years ago and it had been quite a hot commodity.
God saw fit to bless me exceedingly.
The lady who won my service in the auction is great. When I explained my selfish motivation behind offering such a service she promptly offered me 1/2 of her garden plot to call my own. Did you catch that? I now have a garden if I want one. And she said she never manages to bottle what she doesn't eat, so I'm welcome to put up whatever food is left over on her half as well. She only lives5 minutes away from me. And my apartment-dwelling self is so happy I have shed tears of excitement. It was a good moment to be me.
Now, to plan a half of a garden......

Ah, the little things we take for granted when living in a house. I would love to have a garden for our own! So nice of your neighbor...let me know what you come up with. Nothing is better than fresh veggies!
