With a wink

I spent a long Saturday being productive. I woke up painfully early and went with members of my ward (congregation) to the dry-pack in New Jersey. It felt amazingly good to work hard without interruption.... and to do that hard working in an environment somewhere besides my little home. Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. I barely had time to come home and say boo, and then Mr Renn and I headed to our church to clean it. Someone told us that when they'd cleaned the church it took about an hour, but we were there for 3, and only made a dent. If anyone tells me that my church is full of garbage I will smile politely and tell them they are right. Such messes.

But then today it felt really good to walk into a church that I had cleaned. I'm thinking of telling the bishop that I'll deep clean and organize the church kitchen if he can give me a tiny budget for it.

These are the sort of things that heal my insides.
