Oh heavens, I've been tagged since THURSDAY and I just barely found out. Can you tell I've been in a funk?
Organized Chaos tagged me so here I go.
Three things I’m afraid of:
1. Sir Oliver busting his face open with one of his prison-break-esque attempts at standing on his own.
2. Sir Oliver finding and swallowing one of the carpet tacks that keep coming up in our really high quality apartment.
3. Let's not dwell on this any more, what say ye?
Three People Who Make Me Laugh:
1. um, realizing I need to laugh more
2. myself, definitely
3. .........
Three Things I Love:
1. Getting REAL mail and packages, from real people
2. Spending time with both my boys
3. Being the one person who can always make Sir O stop crying
Three Things I Hate:
1. Living in an apartment that is largely falling apart.
2. The baggage that comes with having no income
3. People who choose to be sad
Three Things I Don’t Understand:
1. Why anyone wouldn't want to do their best at something they were going to do anyway.
2. Why Sir O has decided he's allergic to his crib.
3. How to balance wanting Mr Renn to do well at school and wanting him to be home more.
Three Things On My Desk:
1. A mess
2. Mr Renn's Easter Candy
3. Our camera, which means the memory card is in the computer... which means I need to remember to take it out and put it in the camera next time I grab it to take a picture.
Three Things I’m Doing Right Now:
1. Balancing Sir O against my right leg (he really wants to stand and walk, but then he thinks about it some more and decides he doesn't really...)
2. Listening to some sleepy music coming from Sir O's room, intended to help him fall and stay asleep for more than 10 minutes
3. Sweating - it's jumped from winter weather to upper 80's with cry humidity within just a couple of days. And we MUST.resist.the urge.to turn on. the EXPENSIVE.air conditioning!.....
Three Things I Want To Do Before I Die:
1. Own a home that is 100% ours (my original goal was actually to do that by the time I'm 38... we'll see)
2. Develop a habit of traveling with my family, so my kids grow up aware of the world outside of their little norm.
3. Learn another language
Three Things I Can Do:
1. Find amazing chocolate recipes
2. Find some of the world's greatest, kindest, and most talented people and convince them to be my friends....although actually God does most of that for me.
3. Grow Basil in PA!
Three Things I Can’t Do:
1. Roll my "R"s
2. Fall asleep quickly, even if I'm dead tired
3. Talk on the phone as well as I can talk in person
Three Things I Think You Should Listen To:
1. The complements people pay you.
2. Silence, on occasion
3. The genuine requests little kids make that adults seem to be too quick to dismiss.
Three Things You Should Never Listen To:
1. Car commercials
2. Gossip
3. People who ask if your child is _____ yet. (Sitting, standing, walking, nursing well, sleeping through the night, riding a bike without training wheels, spelling their name, potty trained, reciting Shakespeare)
Three Things I’d Like To Learn:
1. French, Spanish, German, and/or Italian
2. How to play the piano (better)
3. I'd like to go back to school and study psychology and film.
Three Favorite Foods:
1. Rita'sRita's water ice
2. Zwahlen's ice cream
3. Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer
Three Shows I Watched As A Kid:
1. Zoobilee Zoo
2. Ghostwriter
3. Thundercats
Three Things I Regret:
1. Not dating more
2. Just about every time I was ever afraid of anything
3. Not being more patient with Sir O and with Mr Renn. Patience does not come naturally to me.
