The 4th in all its 4thness

Still feeling oh-so-jet lagged. But trying to keep up today with all the celebratoriness and the hellos that were to be had. Oliver's first parade. I'm afraid he was none too impressed. The puffies on his stroller tray were far more interesting.
Sir O and some grandparents who just weren't going to wait for him to warm up to them... lucky for them he's the agreeable sort of baby.
Mr Renn and Sir O at the forefront of the parade scene, if only for a few moments. Unfortunately being a cute almost-1-year-old doesn't get you as many perks as being an 8 1/2 month pregnant lady when it comes to parades.

We managed to visit with an impressive amount of extended family for it being our first full day here. Unfortunately I have no photos to prove it. Oliver reached total-overload-mode with the new-people thing. He's just not used to getting so much attention!
After we put Oliver to bed Mr Renn and his dad and I climbed up on their garage roof where we were able to watch 3 3/4 sets of fireworks simultaneously. If only I hadn't had to climb back down in the dark it would have been a screaming deal.
Happy 4th of July. (Although as a good Philadelphia-area dweller I know that we're celebrating the wrong day....)

What a fun trip! Sorryt he parade wasn't as enjoyable as last year. I think it's cool you got to see so many fireworks on the roof! Very cool!

LOL. NYDD and I were talking about the date yesterday because we watched "The Revolution" on the History channel.

Glad you're visiting, you've got lots of fun ahead of you. And, about the parade, wouldn't you much rather go with your handsome 1 year old than as an 8 month pregnant lady? That doesn't sound like fun to me!
