Oliver's birthday cake is DONE! Huge weight off my shoulders. It was my first time experimenting with fondant, since I like to try things I've never been properly trained to do. It looks obviously homemade, but I'm still happy with it.
Meanwhile Mr Renn and Sir Oliver have thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. Mr Renn snapped this picture while they were watching some Baby Einstein. Methinks I need to teach him how to adjust the camera settings....or at least find the auto button.
AND a happy surprise. My Favorite Things swap package arrived here! I thought it would land in Philly and I'd have to wait until August to see it. Check out the booty! What a happy thought! (Thanks Barb!)

I ADORE the cake!! I've always wanted to try making one myself, but I've never really had the occasion or the bravery to try.
