On our own again

Sir O and I are getting reacquainted.

Sounds nice doesn't it?

Well, other than the 2 hours he spent trapped in a corner behind me while I played the piano in the primary (kids 4-11) at church (consistently trying to sneak up and pound on the keys) it has been pretty nice.

But not having any reinforcements leaves me fairly haggard.
How do people do the single-parent thing all the time? My hat is off to you all. You are made of strong stuff.

Sir O is finally sleeping and I can't shake the feeling that I need to wait up until Renn gets here. {That would be a very long wait-up indeed}.

I have to wonder about all the women through the ages who stayed home and did the single-parent thing while their husbands were off doing guy stuff.... wars, missions, extended business trips.... in times when communication was sparse. I feel bad for all the ones who didn't have hired help. {I could use some hired help...}

Less than 48 hours to go..... then our next adventure takes off... We're headed to Boston.

{Yup, that's right, I get to pack and prepare for this trip all by my onesie....joyousness}

Strength. Thats all I have to say about that. Your toddler will appreciate all that you do for him - when he finally turns 40. Or so I'm told.

You've got your hands full, but that's never stopped you before! Here's well wishes sent your way. Hopefully Tuesday will come before you know it!

Holy smokes, you're going away AGAIN? Poor you! I think a vacation from your "vacations" is what you need! On the other hand, Boston, eh? I'm anxious to find out what for!

I feel for you...I felt lucky to have survived while Jake was at scout camp in June. God knew what he was doing when he suggested families have a mom AND A DAD. Best of luck to you and Oliver.
