first step toward recovery

A new camera came in the mail today.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the old one..... but it sure beats a camera phone.

Sir O, texting somebody.... probably.

We've been helping a newlywed couple move in to our apartment complex and I think I'm having flashbacks to my horrid unpacking experience. Boxes everywhere, and nothing having a home. Luckily they seem much more able to manage their belongings than I was.

But then again, most people seem to be able to manage things with less drama than me. I really dislike that about myself, but am at a loss to change it.

i.e. the student loans came in the other day, and after a budgeting session/fhe.... I have been in a rotten mood for days. I need to go watch a film about a nomadic tribe or something to renew my perspective and fix my mood. Money stinks. say it with me....... STINKS.

Okay, the end.

Stinks! Oh, and did I mention STINKS! Yeah, we just got a little more of ours. Hmm. Apparently we shouldn't buy, you know, food and clothes anymore if we want to buy a house. Okay, it's not THAT bad, but it will definitely be tight. I know things will work themselves out, but it still makes me worry.

Love the pic of Oliver texting. Phones are the best toys.

Yes. It stinks bad! I agree with HSF about the house thing. If we want to buy one anytime soon, we would have to go without EVERYTHING!!! It's stupid.

ew, I am with you. We have several student loans that just started pouring in, our money troubles at this point are very serious...people mentioning houses? I think we will be lucky if we own by age 75 and would it be worth it by then?

Amen to the whole money thing. We're looking forward to getting our taxes back this year so we can replace the 20+ year old couches we spend so much time with.
By the way, Em, I just spontaneously changed my blog settings to more restricted aka. "e-mail invited" because I actually had some random person leave a comment telling me they were going to add me to their blogroll. I don't have your e-mail address.... what is a good way to get it from you without sharing a lot of personal info over your blog? (We don't have your phone number anymore- Josh got a new phone.) I will check back on this post's comments for a reply from you. Thanks Em!

Hey Em, I thought of a way I could invite you to read my blog. I'll "encode" my e-mail address and then you can send your e-mail address to me.
My e-mail address is
alison(insert our last name here, and spell it the correct biblical way!)@mail.(insert the school our husband's went to).edu
I hope this works!
