We all survived Sir O's birthday party today. It was melt-your-brains-out hot, but we still had a great turn-out. I asked the Mils to take photos, so hopefully I will have some to share soon.
In the meantime, I promised that the next time I decorated a fondant cake I would share a little how-to. I've kind of broken it down in a flickr set, you can access here.

How cute is that cake?! I think it might be to pretty to eat. I hope you had a back up cake. :)
Happy Birthday Sir O, we love you!
That cake is so cute. You should cater out parties for some extra cash!
I love that cake! I want to learn.
Happy Birthday Oliver!
You are amazing! To make that awesome cake and be pregnant. Wow!! Happy birthday Sir O!
Love the cake! Sorry we couldn't make it.
Happy Birthday Oliver!
Just darling! I remember how cute his "mellow yellow" party was last year so I've been eager to see what amazing stuff you would do this year. I've wanted to try my hand at fondent, too. Thanks for the tips.
P.S. Happy Birthday Sir O!
Cute cake!!! Sorry we missed the party.
Love it! You do such a nice job on them!
Thanks for the cake how-to lessons. Because of the texture, at first I thought it was a marzipan cake. Those are YUMMY! Rich, but yummy.
