Is is just me, or did the second year of being Oliver's mama go much faster than the first?
Oliver has had a relatively low-key birthday because the party is tomorrow. He got to sleep in, make a mess of his breakfast, have a bath, wreak some havoc, then run errands with his daddy. They hung out at Costco and ate samples while the tires were being rotated, then ran to some other stores. Oliver came home one toy car (that Renn says he found in our car, but I've never seen before) and one sprinkled doughnut richer.
The doughnut we're saving for after dinner, possibly with a candle stuck in it.
My little sister and my cousin flew in to help us celebrate; Renn is picking them up from the airport. In a few hours Oliver is going to have more attention than he'll know what to do with. (And I'll have 4 extra hands and eyes!) It'll be great.
He really is a terribly sweet kid. Plenty mischievous, but also eager to please. And he gives awesome kisses. I love being his mom, even when he wears me out.

So sweet. Peanut's was pretty mellow yesterday because we're having her party tomorrow, too. I wish we lived close together and could do a joint birthday party or something. Maybe someday. You are such a good mommy and I'm glad you're getting a few extra hands for a few days.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OLIVER!! We sure wish we could be at the party. Tell him HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Cole.
Happy Birthday Oliver! I can't wait to see pictures of the party. Knowing you it will be amazing. Take lots of brakes while you have those extra hands to help out. HOpe all is well with the baby.
Happy Birthday Oliver!!! (we're a day late, but I doubt you'll mind) Have fun with Rebecca and Chloe!! Tell them hi from us. Party hard!
That was a sweet entry. You really do have a special guy from the few times I met him. Motherhood is really a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday to Oliver and I hope the party went well. Love ya!
