Lunch with Sir O

Sir O seems to be caught up in a cycle of fabulous and terribly two-ish behavior since we've been home. He vacillates about every 2 hours and I occasionally feel like I'm getting quite the dose of Jekyll and Hyde. I managed to catch him on the pleasant end when it was time to make lunch today, so I (with deliberate patience) let him help me make some pizza dough. He wanted to wear his apron to match me, and his rain boots and Boston cap. He loved turning over the measuring spoons and cups and watching the Bosch go in circles. Unfortunately by the time the pizza dough had raised slightly and the pizza was constructed and ready to eat he was having a melt down. Ah me, I need to remember that a toddler requires instant gratification in the kitchen. But despite having to put Sir O down for his nap on an empty tummy (at his own insistance), I have to say it was a terribly yummy little lunch. Artichokes, yellow tomatoes, and diced green peppers. My kind of pizza. I had a moment of feeling successfully domestic, and that's all I can ask for today.

Mmmmm. That sounds like a really good pizza. And a really familiar situation. :) Peanut can only "help" for so long before she completely loses it.

Oh I hate laying the little one down on an empty tummy, too. It's always makes me feel uneasy. But your pizza---ohh it looks sSOOO good!!!
