a brave new world

Sir O is now sleeping for the 3rd successive, successful time in a twin bed. This was a rather spontaneous experiment, and I am dumbfounded by how painless it has been thus far. Not once has he wandered out of bed, nor has he tumbled out in his sleep. (YET). He slept there last night just because he wanted to, and while I was up every 20 minutes checking on him, he slept soundly through to 8am. I don't dare to hope our experiment will continue this smoothly, but I'm kind of tickled that it's had such a walloping start. I suppose I need to have more faith, in a lot of things, including Sir O.

Good for you and Sir O! Sounds like our experience with Grant and his big boy bed...worked great until it dawned on him that he could get out...still scares us to death when he comes running into our room at 2 am! Ha ha! Good luck!

Well, I must say that in my experience Gredtel has done pretty well so I'm hoping that Oliver will do the same. Even if he does get out of bed, what's the worst that could happen?? (hopefully not much since your house seems to be pretty toddler-proof, but Oliver could pull some clever stunt but let's keep some faith in him)

That's so fantastic! I took Peanut to IKEA today and she wanted to lie down in every bed on display so she could be a big girl. Maybe it's time. . . .

Oh, enjoy it while it lasts. We're into the control issues of not wanting to stay in bed. I want to pull my hair out a lot of the time.

He looks so sweet and peaceful sleeping there. I hope it continues to go well!!

Wow good for Oliver. I dont dare try Cole in one yet... but maybe in a few months??? Thats smart of you to do it way before the new little boy comes though. By the way have you chosen a name yet?
