update

One lousy centimeter.

I wanted to give up and go home, except for the part where I'm already home, and we're way past the point of no return.
So instead we went out to lunch at the Olive Garden, where Sir O was perfectly content to scavenge the salad and breadsticks and color on his kid's menu. In fact when we left the restaurant it was so windy that his kid's menu escaped his hand and blew right out into a busy road. He was devastated, so I had to go back inside and ask for another one.
.................

My little brother got married today.
Thanks to all the family who found ways to make me feel (at least a little bit) included.I'd be a lyin' to ya if I said I wasn't feeling the teensiest bit gloomy today. In fact I'd probably feel tremendously gloomy, except for having received the most stellar gift (from an Em much cooler than me) for the belly monster. possibly the coolest baby quilt ever
That is definitely a big enough happy thought to rescue this day.

Who is that tall, goofy looking guy in the background who managed to ruin a perfectly good photo of Spencer and Cami?

I'm *so* glad they went ahead and did the webcam at the wedding reception. I would have done more than just poked my head in while someone else was talking to you, but the line to talk to you was almost as long as the reception line. You must be VERY popular!

Don't let those outdoor wedding photos at the temple fool you. It may look bright and sunny, but it was COLD!! I had on two pairs of socks and my feet were STILL cold. I felt sorry for the bride who was wearing open toed shoes under her pretty dress. :(
