the hazy parts

Lots of adjusting going on. Most of it is being fairly pleasant. I'm very slowly beginning to feel intact enough to think about things like laundry and clutter and what our next meal will be.

Sir O is throwing some violent tantrums; luckily none of them aimed at the Captain. I think he needs some attention. I'm trying awfully hard to give it to him. Tricky stuff.

The Captain is s.l.o.w.l.y learning about day and night. It's a tricky concept, and easy to get switched around it seems. But no screaming fits or unpleasantries - he has a tremendously calm demeanor. I couldn't be more grateful.

Figuring it out folks.

I have a goal to document Captain Graham's birth story, and this is currently the only venue I have to do it. It should be forthcoming. I've said it "out loud" now so I'm more likely to get it done, which is good for me. But it's certainly not required reading, so feel free to skim if/when it surfaces.

The mammaries are calling.

Ciao.

He is a perfect angel! Congratualtions! We are so excited for you guys. Before you know it you will have things under some control, but don't be hard on yourself! And get some rest!

I'm pretty sure it took several weeks, if not months, before I began to think about things like laundry, clutter, or meal prep. I'm very impressed.

Oooh, I agree with glittersmama. I think I am ALMOST done figuring out how to do household chores again. Wait, she said weeks. My babe is 8 months old. So, anyway, good luck. Just lower your expectations. :)

Congratulations, Graham looks like such a Sweetie. And Sir O is just a Doll, I am afraid I would constantly be spoiling him; such a cute family. Congrats, Jamie (DuBose) Pickett

I am just so impressed that you can compose a coherent thought AND blog about it this soon after giving birth! Keep the pictures of the Captain coming! I'm thinking of you. :)

Glad you're finding you're finding your grove, Mama. He is the most beautiful baby... and it sounds like his demeanor is to match.

Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to his birth story. I was thinking today that I have Abby's so well documented, and Jeff was the first, poor Beanie is lost in the middle. So, write it down!
