my excuse

Potty training in earnest has proven to be far more mom-intensive than I was anticipating. (And I was already dreading potty training far more than I ever feared labor and delivery) It's sort of eaten up every discretionary moment and brain cell. (Hence the blog neglect) But I think it can be done...... eventually. Seriously, how did a pussy like me end up with such a strong-willed, quick-witted child?

OH. Sounds like you are having FUN! You know, I didn't mind potty training until I had to potty train my strong willed one. Yeah. I don't think I envy you. If you want to hear all of the things that DIDN'T work, let me know. I'm an expert! But I still haven't figured out what will...

Lots of Patience, I've heard. Good luck, Em. I totally agree, potty training seems like the worst, especially with a strong willed child who isn't interested. My sister-in-law never really pushed the issue, but let them do it when they were interested and she said it really helped to have them around other potty-trained boys and with their daddy and grandpa! (don't know how well that will work for you, but that's all the advice I've got). Good luck!

Im sorry Em....I feel ya...patience is something Ive been trying to gain for years now...as Kaylee only continues to become harder to deal with...shes a strong willed child and arguments with her are like fighting with a 17 year old teenager...I hope things get better for you soon....=( Love you

Been there, done that, avoiding starting it with my little Miss Lily. The Lord truly knew what he was doing when he allowed us mothers to fall in love with our offspring over the first 2 years of their life. It is their only saving grace through such moments revolving around potty training. I'm sending prayers and extra strength your way!
