I seem to be having a lot of those moments where the more work I put into my kids having fun, the less fun they have. I never learn.
Wearing our matching raincoats and going for a late night puddle jumping? - Apparently not fun.
Building a giant spiderweb? Hugely un-fun. (Yawn) Although demolition proved more amenable.
Someone's been watching too much Sid the Science Kid.
So, the mystery ever remains, what WILL they like?

Besides watching TV? Uh. . . I so know.
awww, little fireman rain coats.
boys after my own heart :)
Wow. A spider web. That's pretty cool. Too bad all the fun adventures you see kids do on TV don't go so easily at home. You get an A for effort, though!
Okay, don't tell my kids that fun things like that are possible or they are going to trade me in for an Emily model of "mommy"! Puddle jumping, spiderwebs, and longwood visits? Oh, and I love the picture with the toilet lid over the head. That pic alone has got to be worth the time it took to get it off, right?
Super mom! What great ideas! Wow! You're way more creative than I! Sir O is so lucky...Puddle jumping?! AWESOME....hope he decides to jump on the potty training wagon soon for your own sanity...
Sure looks like fun to ME.
You are so creative! I liked it! How's that for validation? :) I would love to puddle jump, and I remember attempting to make a spiderweb like that when I was a kid. Maybe it just has to be their idea for them to like it.
Emily! I'm glad I still had your blog address tucked away. Your boys are So big, what cuties! You look like a fun a mom...what we do for our kids...nice to see you!
I love the rain coats! Oh how I miss those big rain storms. We loved to jump in all the puddles. I only recall one night of puddle jumping and it was the best! Your boys are lucky to have such a good mom. They might not know it all the way yet,but give them time they will soon see how amazing you are, and how much fun you make life. That spider web, well let just say Trey would be in heaven with that. Good job on all the fun adventures! You really are the best!
