I have developed a new collection since landing in this new home. Suddenly I cannot enter a thrift store without buying a piece or three of badly tarnished silver or silverplate. (The bud vase in the rear is unpolished. It's not a great example of tarnish, so humor me and the moment I had the camera handy and decent light).
I bring them home, wash them, then I treat them with some
Tarn-X. Then I polish them like the dickens with
silver cream. Most of the time I find myself with something utterly stunning by the end.
Silver is such a lovely parable for people, don't you think? Perhaps I should collect those too.

(same vase - post polishing)
