I'm It

All sorts of apologies for the delay... I've been out of town at the 80th birthday party I previously mentioned....

Remove the blog in the top spot from the following list and bump everyone up one place. Then add your blog to the bottom slot, like so.

What were you doing 10 years ago?
Ten years ago I was (also) in 8th grade. I, like most people, seem to have blocked most of Junior High from my memory... I had an honors English teacher I didn't like, a Choir teacher I loved, my best friend (didn't everyone have one in Junior High?) lived just down the street from me and we really liked to watch Newsies and cut clippings from magazines like Better Homes and Gardens.

What were you doing 1 year ago?
Working, same as now... only without the pregnancy symptoms making it difficult. We were also working on Mr. Renn's Dental School Application.

Five snacks you enjoy:
1) Fresh Nectarines
2) Tomatoes
3) Raspberry Sorbet
4) Kinder Buenos
5) ... but lately all food is the enemy... so I'm going to stop thinking about it.

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics:
1) All of Company, Sunday in the Park with George, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods, and several other great Sondheim musicals
2) Like a Dolphin, Poe
3) Call me on your way back home, Ryan Adams
4) Round Here, Counting Crows
5) Oddly enough, most of the Neil Diamond songs I randomly hear on the radio...

Five things you would do if you were a millionaire:
1) Pay off our student loans/tuition
2) Buy my uncle who is a mechanic his own shop
3) Ship my brother the Disaster to China (well, maybe not but I'd be tempted)
4) Invest
5) Own at least 1 house

Five bad habits:
1) Answering questions that weren't directed to me
2) Procrastinating my morning commute until it's just a disaster waiting to happen
3) Buying things online without thinking them through first
4) Biting my lip
5) Asking people to do things for me by saying "Do you want to____?"

Five things you like doing:
1) Having deep conversations with Mr. Renn
2) Watching crazy art films and then analyzing them to bits with my film friends
3) Reading novels that I just can't put down until they're over
4) Making things with my hands and then giving them to people as gifts
5) Daydreaming

Five things you would never wear again:
1) 2 pairs of brightly colored tube socks at once (not that I'd wear them one at a time either... but that was really bad)
2) Bangs that require a rat-tail comb
3) A Unitard(there's nothing wrong with wearing one... I just don't think I'll ever buy one again...)
4) Sun glasses that came out of a cereal box
5) Green nail polish

Five favorite toys:
1) Grapefruit Knife
2) Card making/candle making/soap making supplies
3) Good books
4) Salad Spinner
5) Paint

As for the other tag... I'm truly a terrible liar. I'm so bad I have never in my life gotten away with a lie... (but I have tried...) - - Basically I am such a bad liar that I can't even think up any lies right now.... my mind is a vacuum when it comes to making up a story about myself that is not true....

it's nice to have you writing again. i check your blog everyday, curious to see what you have philosophized upon for the day.
but i'm glad that you have good excuse for not writing, namely an 80th birthday party.

i hardly think of tomatoes as a snack/treat.

I think to say that you have NEVER gotten away with a lie may be another one you are trying to get away with!

Dad.
