For the record, the shower went really well. Really, really well. Way more people showed up than I had dared hope for (that's a great way to feel loved!). The food was great, the company was great. I felt totally at ease.
It's funny how getting a chance to see people you rarely see is so much more important than any of the gift exchanging. Not unexpected at all, but perhaps a bit ironic. Oh I love having friends!

i wish i could have been there!! not only to support you and see you and mr renn [though that be the main reason], but invitations to baby showers don't come along very often--you have to take them while you have the chance!
