Reunion-ing

We reunion-hopped today. {Or rather tried to and missed 1 of 3 gatherings all together}
Sir Oliver is not a fan of large gatherings in his current stranger-anxiety riddled state.

"Maybe next year" he says.

But he is a rock-star at karaoke!

And a cling-on

Look what I won in the cakewalk! { And look how dirty I got myself and my mom within 15 seconds of winning it!...doesn't really show up here, but we're both covered in chocolate and in soot}

Our portion of the family at the reunion we made it to {we were all supposed to wear yellow....sigh}:

I put Mr Renn in charge of taking pictures at the other gathering today, and this is what I got: My cousin M...... looking rather uninviting. Mr Renn has lost his camera privileges.

At that 2nd gathering, we all gathered around to hear my Grandpa tell some war stories. {He was a 7ish yr POW in Vietnam} That was a rare treat. And a nice ending to a long day.

That was a treat wasn't it. I hadn't heard a lot of those stories before.
Makes me feel guilty for ever complaining about anything. Ever.

Ah, the reunion rush of summer. We did three 3 day long reunions in a 3 week period through June. Fun, but, I question whether my willingness to do it again is sain or not. Looks like you had fun. We're excited to see you guys tonight.

I giggled at your post.
For 3 reasons, 1. All your family was SUPPOSED to wear yellow. (only a handful of people were, out of... like, 5 handfulls!!) 2. That picture of your cousin M.- Aren't boys funny when they get a hold of a camera... you never know what kind of pictures you'll get. What the heck is he doing anyway? He looked like he was TRYING to look inviting to me. Sometimes less is more, eh? And lastly, 3. The fact that Mr Renn lost his camera privelage (sp.??). Poor renn. If he's anything like my hub, he's probably rejoicing.
Nice post. Glad to hear about a Vietnam POW veteran survivor. I can only imagine how amazing it would be to listen to.

I love your pictures! I have the one of the hummingbird you took. It's very nice. I'm going to print them and put them in my room. Sometime. :P Miss you, Mr. Renn, and Sir O!
