So, this is what summer vacation feels like?

I'm still getting used to having places to go and people to see. Sir O and I were really quite settled into our boring-as-watching-the-grass-grow-routine. He is really making a valiant effort to be agreeable around the hosts of "new" people who want to cuddle his cuddliness, but you can tell it's a stretch for him.

You can never have too many baby/wading pool pictures, right? (here's hoping)

Sir O's grandma thought she'd offer him a plastic cup to use as a toy in the pool, and what do you suppose he did with it?
What, isn't that what you do with a cup, mom?
Tonight we attended a BBQ reunion for the Student Body Officers from my High school. (I was the publicity officer, and a rather lousy one at that. Nobody managed to warn me adequately about spreading myself too thin in High School) I got bizarrely nervous about 10 minutes before we got there (doesn't any sort of high school reunion warrant some butterflies?) But it turned out to be a great time. Seriously. I was expecting it to be a pleasant evening, but it surpassed my expectations. Everyone was in a good place in their lives, with bright plans for their future, making good decisions. Made me glad. Sir O managed to get his 12th goosebump on his forehead while his dad was bouncing him on a trampoline. His poor face is starting to look like a mountain range. Please tell me that it's the age, and not an indication that we're bad parents!

I am sure you don't need to hear this, but since no one else said it...the battle wounds are totally the age. Isn't it fun to walk around with a beat-up looking kid. I think you are wonderful parents!

Cute picture! I bet it was nice to see everyone again! I haven't seen any of those people for a while now. I saw Liz a few months ago but that is it. I am glad you had a good time!:)

You do look hot mama in that picture! It funny about the cup in the pool. It's one of Peanut's favorite pool toys, too. And if your 1 year old having a hundered bumps on his noggin makes you a bad parent, I'm one, too. I'm guessing it's the age.
