Yeah, I can never resist when a good friend tags me
1. How long have you been a Mom? 462 days, not counting pregnancy
2. How many children call you Mommy/Mom/Mama? None, so far I'm still the "extension of self"
3. Girl? Boy? or both? One bouncing Sir O
4. Did you know what you were having?: Yes. I was facing a cross country move in addition to new-mother shock. I didn't need any more uncertainties than were absolutely necessary.
5. How old were you when you became a Mom? 24
6. How long were you in labor? 6 hours from the pit drip.
7. (I'll make up my own 7) What was your favorite thing about labor? Finally being able to lay on my back comfortably.
8. What was your least favorite thing about labor? The part where I started shaking and vomiting after Sir O was born.
9. Do you want more kids? yes, but we're taking them one at a time.
10. Do you plan on having more soon? That seems like a nosey question, doesn't it? Depending on how you define "soon" - yes or no.
11. Does daddy change diapers? Yes, but I often have to point out that a diaper needs to be changed first. Men can be oblivious.
12. How many times have you been peed on? Considering the boyness, not very many. (Unless you want to count bathtub incidents....but I say what happens in the bathtub, stays in the bathtub) Sir O apparently gets stage fright when his diaper is off.
13. Barfed on? Sir O has only really barfed once (all over Vanessa's floor if you'll remember) - but if you want to count baby spit up....then oodles.
14. Is your child named after anyone? Oliver's middle name is after my grandma's dad.
15. How did you come up with their name(s)? Lots and lots of arguing.
16. When your child(ren) gets in trouble, who is the bad guy? We're just starting that dilemma. But Mr Renn is really good about not playing good cop.....when he's home.
17. And who is the good guy? I'd say me... because I'm usually the one who stays up with him all night when he's teething.
18. What is the longest you have been away from your child(ren)? About 6 hours... (The MS trip)
19. Kids bedtime routine? Bath right after dinner, then lotion lube, then jammies. Run around and play rowdy with dad, into the crib (nightlight and music turned on) - (e.t.a. BRUSH TEETH)we read a story and pray as a family (Sir O is just starting to fold his arms for prayer)....then lights out.
20. Are your toes painted? Yes, but only because I realized recently that they hadn't been painted in about 9 months.
21. Last movie you saw in the theater? Oceans 13. It was 50 cents at a theatre in Detroit.
22. Last time you had a date? Without Oliver? Um..... can't remember one.
23. One thing you will not give up just because you are a mom? Fretting about things that don't really matter.
24. One thing you did give up now that you're a mom? Shaving my legs with socially acceptable frequency.
25. Best Mom you know? There's a trap if ever I saw one. Being a mom is a hard and brave and wonderful thing. Everyone who's braved it and given it their whole heart deserves all the accolades I could give.

Wow, Emily! I hadn't realized that you've gotten very little "alone time" to yourself. Here's to hopes that you get some quality nail polishing, Martha Stuart watching, and doing anything that makes you feel...YOU time!
I wish I could watch Oliver so you and Mr. Renn could go on a date. Motherhood is a brave thing. Props to you!
