We drove all the way to Marshfield so we could get snowed-in. No city ventures for us this time.
I took embarassingly few pictures, but we did have a lovely time after all. (Seriously, 3/4 of the few pictures I did take are of us in the car driving there and back again)
Mr Renn volunteered to hold baby Kai without any provocation from me. It was a revelation.
Sir O didn't break anything, and the cats were smart enough to hide from him. It was a miracle.
(Sir O playing with Mark's toy trucks from when he was little)
We had some long chats, a nice walk out in the cold, a couple of lovely fires on the hearth, the joy of stretching out and living in a real house for a few days....
(fondue by the fire.....divine)
and the company of Ari, Mark and baby Kai...... who happen to be the best company in this whole wide world. And Mark's sister considerately stayed in labor for nearly 24 hours so that we could be properly seen off this morning. (Congrats to her on a healthy baby girl)
And Sir O was delightful the entire drive home. All 5+ hours of it. Wow.

Soooo cute. So glad you had a great trip. That's awesome that Sir O was great on the ride home.
I love those pictures of a happy Oliver!
It sounds like a great trip! I'm glad you made it back in one piece and happy even. :) Mmmmm. Fondue.
Mmmm, fondue by the fire. Perfect.
That's too bad that you couldn't do much. That picture of you from behind.......I can see why Renn took it. haha
