proof of the belly monster

I had to do one of those "drink 32 oz of water so your bladder is full" ultrasounds. Then when they finished they wanted to do a vaginal ultrasound, so I had to go and empty my bladder. Ironic, you may as well be my middle name.
Everything looked great, we're still on for a Jan. 11 or 12 due date. I had a cyst on my left ovary (which is apparently normal/common during pregnancy?) and they couldn't even find my right ovary, so I hope I have one! (I'm pretty sure I'd know by now if I didn't...)Luckily for us this kid woke up toward the end of the 1st ultrasound and stayed really active through the 2nd one, so both Mr Renn and I got to see it. Funny how an ultrasound makes your baby so much more human to you. More like a baby and less like a monster/parasite that is making life REALLY HARD right now. I think it was exactly what I needed to get through this week. (Nasty exhausting pukage last night...tmi)
God is good to me that way.

Yay for belly monsters! Even if they do make life incredibly difficult.

Have you asked your OB for medication to help you with your nausea and vomiting? I know I had the awesome hyper-emesis with both of my pregnancies for the WHOLE TIME. I was miserable until I discovered the wonder that is progesterone. Available in pill form (not helpful when you cant keep anything in) and well... suppositories. It seems awful in theory but for me the queen of the puke it actually calmed my stomach and helped me be more actually functional for the duration of my pregnancies. Most Ob's will rx it if you tell them how sick you have been. I work for alot of them and its pretty common. I feel for you Em! Praying for a calm tummy!!

Fun! Oh, btw, you may not know if you didn't have two ovaries. I had one removed and haven't noticed a difference. I have normal periods and I haven't had much trouble getting pregnant! (Just thought I'd let you know.)

I'm pretty sure my ovaries checked out fine with my Ultrasounds with Sir O (when I DIDN'T have to have a full bladder). It seemed like the tech said she felt she was having a hard time moving my full bladder and swollen uterus out of the way to find that ovary. I'll make them double check for it at my 20 week ultrasound.
