We took my sister and cousin downtown today and decided to try seeing downtown via the "Once Upon a Nation" storytelling stops. It's actually a really cool program throughout National Parks around here. In Downtown Philly there are 13 stops, and if you stop and listen to a story at all of them, you collect stickers and get a prize at the end. Prizes included a free water-ice and a free ride on the carousel at Franklin Square. I stayed motivated to keep up with everyone all day because I was SURE Oliver would love the carousel. Well, he did. Until it started moving. Then he was unconsolable. "Out! Out!" "No!" Signing "all-done" and generally shrieking. And since I was pretty sure there was a rule about not walking around until the ride stopped, poor Sir O was stuck on that Zebra the whole time. At least the water-ices were good. And since the whole day was free (minus parking and lunch), we couldn't really complain. Maybe it'll go over better the next time.

LOL. Poor O. Who knew going up and down in a circle could be so terrifying. That such a fun activity, though. Mmmm. Water-ice sounds so good right now.
