Being Festive

We determinedly (and spontaneously) got out of the house today. It only amounted to a 3ish hour outing, but it felt like a full day. Sometimes you just have to gather your family together and go someplace so that coming back home can feel good again.First we stopped at Otts, where the mum mountain is very nearly all blooming. I drive by it all the time, but had never stopped. Oliver had a great time pointing out all the bees to us, plus he adored the indoor waterfall/pool with goldfish. Then we perused Evansburg State Park (no photos), and stopped by the Lower Providence Fall Festival. The festival itself was a bit flat (consisting almost entirely of political campaigns, overpriced food, and highschool fundraisers) but Sir O got to pick out a pumpkin and play on the playground, and at his age he's still easy to please.More photos from our adventures found here.
And this afternoon we get to try this cake recipe, then I get to go listen to this bundle of inspiration tonight.
So it's bound to be a lovely day.

Seeing all your fun pictures makes me miss the place. I really love AZ, but man am I missing Fall. It is the best time of the year. Looks like you had a lot of fun. I know what you mean about needing to leave the house, just to come home and love the place again. When I was prego, every weekend I would be dieing to leave, and I just had to get out with Cody and Trey. Your lucky to have one of the best places to live to go do fun stuff in. Free fun stuff!!! By the way you look good prego, so cute!

Sir o in the pumpkin patch is adorable. I love his night owl shirt, is he really a night owl? If only Caleb were a night owl, he is such an early riser with bundles of energy!
