Disappearing day

It seems like the days Mr Renn is able to spend with us slip through my fingers like water off a lily pad. (Happens to be the most water-repellent naturally-occurring organic material.... fyi)
Today was great but, dang, is it over?
We (yet again) found an excuse to frequent the Shady Maple, thanks to my cousin and his birthday. (Or as his wife points out, thanks to my cousin's mother..... hmmm......) And there was a solid consensus that the Shady Maple has the best pancakes, period.
Then, after some napping and laundry, we headed out to Longwood Gardens again to enjoy their Christmas-ness. We discovered that Sir O really really does NOT like to be cold. There were tears, and we realized he'd never had an opportunity to be that cold before. But Mr Renn and I quite enjoyed ourselves. We always get a bit inspired when we visit Longwood. They have such cool ideas, and the means to do really cool visual things with plants. Heck, if I had one of the largest greenhouses in the world I could probably pull a few tricks out of my sleeve too. Our photos are here.
And once Sir O was thawed out, he was happy as a clam. We sang nursery songs the entire way home.

Yes, how do those days just fly right by? Longwood sounds really cool, and again, I love your hat. Poor little O. Peanut seems to be completely oblivious to the cold. And the wet.

Lucky. I love the Shady Maple. But I have to say I am not a fan of the cold either

We went out to eat today at a buffet too, but it was no Shady Maple that's for sure. :)

Why is it that days with the husband seem to last half as long (or less) than the days (or months) that they are gone?

I'm still dreaming of those sweet potato pancakes! Thanks for hanging out with us! And it's Hershey "Sweet Lights". It's $20 per car. So...if we drove our car, held O and Gredtel, Mayzie could sit her seat. Then either you or Renn could sit in the front while Clay drives. I say we go! Let me know!
