having fun when there's none to be had

Despite having about 3 dozen reasons for life to be all about misery, whining, and seriousness right now, we have determined to have some fun.  Surprisingly we are perfectly capable of having fun, even with full-to-overflowing plates and missing adults. Turns out fun is a choice, much like love and contentment. Go figure.

thank you preschool

You are so right. Many of the best things in life are choices we make each day...each moment.

I still remember being young enough to run and jump in a big pile of leaves...and having understanding grown-ups being OK with having to rake them again. :)
