Ending the year with my very favorite boys

New Year's Eve

Because we'd just returned from our anniversary adventures that morning, we opted for a cozy-at-home New Years Eve celebration.  But we did celebrate!  Mr Renn whipped up a dinner composed entirely of party finger-food.

Then I raided my craft room for little paper punches and we made our own confetti and decorated party hats.  Near the end of that activity we had to put our gentleman to bed.  He'd only slept 4 hours the night before, we were told, and he was spent.

Then we played games until it was midnight in Buenos Aires.  We figured we'd celebrate an early New Year's with the kids and get them to bed at a reasonable time.  We had our first day of early church the next morning and Sir O was supposed to give a talk (on top of having new teachers).  There was no way that was going to fly if he was tired and ornery.

So at the stroke of 8pm, we partied like the crazy kids we are.  Which is to say we blew (or slobbered on) party blowers, threw confetti, and opened our mini martinellis.  If it was a sad showing for the holiday my kids will never know it.7New Year's Eve New Year's Eve
