Last night found us home for the first Sunday in weeks and weeks. With no family obligations and early church, we found the evening stretching out into a long stretch of time, and were trying hard to keep from filling it with dvds and toys.
So as the sun set on another yummy dinner by Mr Renn, I suggested that we make a pretend camp-fire and teach our kids a thing or two about their pioneer heritage. The campfire (build out of aluminum foil, LED fake candles, and a box) was a huge hit. (The story-sharing, less of a hit.) But at least we were all engaged, for a while, in doing something together. I maxxed out my ISO to capture a few moments. I wish I'd captures Sir O running around like crazy, arranging the candles into "patterns" all over the house. These boys are lovely, if exhausting.
